Bruce Solomon, President. Mr. Solomon is the Founder and President of Management Recruiters of Menlo Park. Since 1997 he has been a strategic staffing partner and consultant to companies in the specialty retail and vision care industries. Throughout his 30-year career, Mr. Solomon has held diverse leadership positions in the specialty retail arena with notable expertise in high growth companies both in the US and internationally. As Lenscrafters first Regional Manager, he successfully opened over 40 locations in the mid-west and as Senior Director of Store Operations and Marketing opened over 60 stores on the west coast managing over $130 million in sales. Mr. Solomon left Lenscrafters in 1994 and became Managing Director of Vision Express Ventures to develop the Super-optical store concept throughout Europe, Asia, and South America. More recently and concurrent with his continued leadership at Management Recruiters of Menlo Park, Mr. Solomon served as President of an early stage start-up company that designs and manufactures a self-administered kiosk vision testing system. Mr. Solomon has been a featured writer for 20/20- Latin America and a keynote speaker at International conferences. Marcie Patten, Independent Consultant, To achieve her personal goals, Marcie now has established an independent consultancy with Management Recruiters of Menlo Park. She has responsibility for business development, client services and company operations. She joined Management Recruiters of Menlo Park in 1999 as a project coordinator and has been a key contributor in the growth and success of the organization. Prior to this she was a manager in field and store operations with Lenscrafters during their unprecedented expansion. Concurrently she was an adjunct trainer at Precision Lenscrafters University training hundreds of newly hired managers in “Interviewing and Recruiting”. Ms. Patten has over twenty years optical industry experience and is a licensed optician with certifications from the American Board of Opticianry and the Tennessee Board of Licensed Opticians where she became one of the youngest licensed Dispensing Opticians ever certified. Ms. Patten has demonstrated recruiting expertise in highly technical projects as well as executive and middle management search assignments. She recruits for clients in the optical (ophthalmic and precision) industry, Transportation and logistics sector, Specialty retailers and medical device manufacturers.
